Watercress Walk through Luccombe Mill and the path running through Wessex Water land is CONFIRMED as a Public Footpath with immediate effect.
Following the Public Inquiry in September 2018 the Planning Inspector (Heidi Cruickshank) in her report date 31 October 2018 has decided that the Watercress Walk through Luccombe Mill and the path running through Wessex Water land is CONFIRMED as a Public Footpath with immediate effect.

What happens next?

Wiltshire Council is responsible for opening the path and making it usable for the general public. The Council's Rights of Way Officer and its Senior Warden are to meet Mr Pelly by the end of November to arrange for the necessary works to be done. This will be a top priority for them.
A further announcement will be made when the path is fully open.
