All households will be affected by the Corona virus crisis.  You can help your local community by volunteering to help where you can.

It's great you're thinking of volunteering, we just need you to read the information below to ensure you understand what you need to do to protect yourself and those you are helping.

During your volunteering you will come across personal and sensitive information about individuals as part of the support you will offer. We want to make sure that all information stays safe and confidential in line with the Data Protection Act 1998 and GDPR Regulations 2018.

We want you to treat other people’s personal information in the same way you would want yours to be treated. If you do acquire information about an individual you may be supporting (for example, names, addresses and possible medical information), we ask that you maintain confidentiality and do not discuss or disclose any data or information with anyone outside of Bratton Parish Emergency Planning Team or with anyone who doesn’t need to know.

Please download the guidance documents below

When you register as a volunteer to help others in your community that are affected by the Corona virus you will be asked the type of help you would be willing to give and indicating your likely availability.

The information you provide will be collated by Bratton Emergency Planning Team and held electronically on a secure site.  Individual data will only be made available outside the EPT to the extent necessary to enable support to be provided and will be held only for so long as is necessary to manage the response to the Covid-19 outbreak.

Register as a Volunteer

Once you have registered someone from the planning team or a representative will contact you when a request for help is made that matches your offer of help.
