- UPDATE ON BRATTON REMEMBRANCE GARDEN PROJECT 2019 - Revised Working Group dates. As many of you are aware, we are creating a garden to the edge of St James’ churchyard extension to provide a seating area looking out towards Piquet Hill. We hope that this will be a place for quiet enjoyment and reflection in this particularly beautiful natural setting, which holds a special place in the hearts of many of us. Work started in mid-April, when the digger came in to mark out the path and level the seating area. To progress the garden, we will be running Working Groups on Saturdays starting on Saturday 27th April, including every Saturday in May (4th, 11th, 18th, 25th) and on the 1st June. Fortunately, we have managed to avoid having a gabion retaining wall – thereby reducing the workload and cost considerably. As this is very much a project for the whole community, with the new garden being open to everyone, we are hoping to encourage as many people as possible to be part of the project and volunteer. The latest information and sign up sheets for workshops will be on display at St James’ Church. If you would like to be added to the mailing list or need further details, please contact: Alice Wilkins 01380 830900 This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. or Chris Cloke 01380 830909 This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.. We would like to say a huge thank you to everyone who has already volunteered and for all your support. Without your help this project would not be possible.
