Bratton WI is part of the Wiltshire Federation of WIs, and consequently the National Federation of WIs - the largest country wide organisation of women in the UK - giving women educational opportunities and the chance to build new skills, to take part in a wide variety of activities and to campaign on issues that matter to them and their communities.

Recent campaigns have included reducing plastic waste in our oceans and alleviating loneliness.

Membership is open to all women over 16 and annual membership from January 2018 is £41, for which every member receives a monthly national magazine - W.I. Life - plus the Wiltshire Federation newsletter.

Opportunities are available to visit Denman College near Oxford for further education on a variety of subjects, together with other, more local, activities on a regular basis.

A full programme of events is also provided detailing talks and demonstrations here in Bratton.

We meet at 7.30 p.m. at the Church Institute every 1st Wednesday in each month, with the exception of August, when we have our annual outing, which could mean anything, anywhere!

In August 2018, we’re visiting Highgrove, Prince Charles’ garden in Gloucestershire. This will be a coach trip, and extra places will be available. Please call 01380 830857 in January to book your place, for which a deposit will be required.

The current programme, plus photographs, etc. are displayed in our notice board attached to the Jubilee Hall.
